12/29/11 Impact Wrestling Recap

Impact Wrestling opens with footage of Sting firing both Jeff and Karen Jarrett. This leads to Madison Rayne announcing that she was given the role of Executive Vice President of the Knockouts upon Karen leaving TNA. We then head into the Impact Zone where Gail Kim and Madison Rayne make their way to the ring.

Madison calls out Tara and Brooke Tessmacher once again and they make their way to the ring. Madison says she is going to make this quick and warned them last week that if the two of them screwed with her and they were going to be fired. Madison then fires both of them but Sting’s interrupts as he makes his way to the ring.

Madison tells Sting that there is no reason for him to be out here as he is a busy man and she has it under control. Sting says Madison Rayne does not have a legally binding contract to be the VP so she has no power. Sting says he has the power and he is going to make Gail Kim defend the Knockouts Championship tonight as Mickie James’ music hits. Mickie comes out onto the stage as Gail and Madison flip out in the ring. Sting also says he has his eyes on Madison before leaving the ring.

Steiner then hits an overhead suplex and Steiner begins to size up Styles for a Steinerline but Styles counters and connects with a Pele kick. Kazarian and Abyss are tagged in and Kazarian is able to use his quickness against Abyss, but Abyss refuses to go down. Kazarian then hits a tornado DDT but Abyss is able to kick out. Abyss then recovers and hits Kazarian with a chokeslam and then nails Styles with a right that knocks him off the apron and into the guard railing.

Steiner is shocked at Abyss’ attitude and Abyss goes over and tags Steiner into the match. Before Steiner can do anything, though, Abyss takes him down with a Black Hole Slam. Coleski says he, Roode’s family, and even his wife, has tried to contact him without success. Coleski wants to know who he has become as the Bobby Roode he knows was not a selfish person. Coleski says his family misses him and Roode’s kids tell him so when he has to drive them to hockey practice. Roode brags about his suits and says Coleski was nothing more than his lackey and his parents just want their 15 minutes of fame.
