Becky Lynch, suspended for 60 days by Mr. McMahon and no longer competing at WrestleMania, jumped the barricade during Charlotte Flair’s match against Asuka last night in Louisiana, and attacked Charlotte in the ring. Charlotte would retaliate by going after Lynch’s bad knee and re-injuring it with help from a steel chair.
Charlotte was Mr. McMahon’s choice to replace Royal Rumble winner Lynch, as Ronda Rousey’s opponent at WrestleMania, with Rousey’s RAW Women’s Championship on the line. Rousey will first defend the title against Ruby Riott, at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, . Charlotte is not scheduled to compete at Elimination Chamber.
