CM Punk is back!
“The Best in the World” made a shocking return at the conclusion of the WWE Survivor Series 2023 premium live event on Saturday night at AllState Arena in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois.
After Randy Orton made his return to help Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Jey Uso and Sami Zayn defeat The Judgment Day and Drew McIntyre in the Men’s WarGames main event, the show appeared to be coming to a close …
…and then it happened…
The familiar sounds of Cult of Personality played and out came Chicago’s favorite son, CM Punk.
“The Best in the World” emerged with a new haircut and an insanely loud, sustained roar from the crowd. He kneeled down and did his “CLOBBERING TIME!” watch check before embracing the fans side-to-side on the guard rails as the show came to a close.

The fact the Warrior returned in 2014 proved anyone could return
AEW is in so much trouble, they fumbled the ball and let go their biggest wrestling draw.
@John–You are incorrect sir. Tony HANDED the ball to WWE.
Warrior, Sammartino, Scott Steiner….
Never say never, indeed.
@John
Keeping CM Punk would have been a major step backwards with no real forward steps.
Letting go of CM Punk is a step backwards but with a hell of alot more forward steps to come.
I agree with John’s comment. Then again Punk is a diva and I’m sure within a year or 2 , he’ll get mad some perceived slight and depart.
Everyone’s overlooking something very important: Punk wants/needs to prove that he wasn’t the one in the wrong in AEW. This is his big and only chance to do that. So it’s not about whether he’s a diva, asshole, or whatever else you want to call him. It’s about whether he’s still the dumbass who allowed himself (a main eventer) to be provoked by a career midcarder (at best and assuming we actually ever see him again).
